Estimation Model of Moso Bamboo LAI and Spatial Distribution Characteristics: A Case in Shunchang County, Fujian Province

  • In the report, 181 set data of moso bamboo forest LAI measured in Shunchang County, Fujian Province were collected, and which were randomly divided into the modeling group and verification group. Based on the Landsat 8 OLI image, the moso bamboo information and the five vegetation indices, RVI, NDVI, DVI, MSAVI and MCARI, were extracted. Then, the linear, exponential, multiplicative, logarithmic and quadratic curve models of LAI-vegation index were constructed respectively. The spatial autocorrelation analysis method was used to study the moso bamboo forest county spatial distribution characteristics of LAI. The results indicated that the prediction of MSVI and MCARI is better, the best model is LIA=7.417MSAVI0.901, R2 is 0.714, and the verification accuracy is 89.6%; the LAI value of Shunchang County bamboo forest are between 0~6, the proportion of 0~2, 2~4, 4~6 is 11.3%, 59.2% and 29.5%, respectively, which suggested that the general condition is good; from the point of view of spatial analysis, the differences among the LAI values of the different county township is big, “hot spots” is located in the Lanxia Town, “second hot spot” is located in Pushang Town, “cold spots” is located in Shuangxi town, “second cold spots” is located in the Zhenfang Town. The results can provide valuable references for bamboo economic management and sustainable utilization.
