Identification and Application of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from the Rumen Fluid of Hainan Black Goat

  • In the report, the lactic acid bacteria were isolated and identified from the rumen fluid of Hainan black goat, and which were used for the black goat feed silage. The obtained strains were identified elementarily by morphology test and lactic acid qualitative test; based on 16S rDNA gene sequencing, three of them, HBG11, HBG46, and HBG86, were identified as Enterococcus durans, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, respectively; One lactic acid bacteria, which had a high rate of growing and acid production, was chosen for King grass silage fermentation. Five expereimental groups were designed to analyze the growth condition of lactic acid bacteria and quality of silage. The results indicated that the effects of Group V was best, in which was significantlyreduced (P<0.05), and final PH is 3.83; after 50d, the nutritional component of King grass silage in Group V was changed significantly (P<0.05). So, HBG46 had the ability to prevent pH from rising during aerobic period.
