GC Determination of Ethanol Residual in Cefmenoxime Hydrochloride
-
Abstract
A method for determining the residues of 6 kinds of solvents in cefmenoxime hydrochloride by capillary gas chromatography was established. The capillary column was HP-INNOWAX (30m×0.25mm×0.25μm) with methanol as the internal standard, and FID as detector. The temperatures of the injector and the detector were controlled at 200℃ and 250℃, respectively. The column temperature was maintained at 60 ℃ for 7 minutes with the postrun at 230℃ for 5 minutes. The results showed that excellent linearity (r=0.9993) was obtained. The average recoveries were 97.80% to 99.60% with RSD from 1.36% to 2.21%. The method is simple, accurate and sensitive, which can be used to determine ethanol residual in cefmenoxime hydrochloride.
