Influence of Surface Active Agent on Interaction of Alizarin Red and Bovine Serum Albumin
-
Abstract
Interaction of alizarin red(AR)and bovine serum albumin(BSA)is investigated in the buffer solutions at pH 2.68. It is considered that the combination of AR and BSA is due to the electrostatic force and the "Phase Distribution Model" is the proper description of the interaction between AR and BSA. According to the assumption of Pesavento, the distribution ratio D of AR between "protein phase" and "water phase" is obtained. It is studied that the effection of sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) at different concentrations on the interaction between AR and BSA is mainly due to the electrostatic force and hydrophobic force by discussing the relate parameters.
