Phase Transfer Catalyzed Synthesis of 2-（Trichloromethyl）-2-propanol
This paper reports the phase transfer catalyzed synthesis of 2-(trichloromethyl)-2-propanol using polyethylene glycol-400 as a phase transfer catalyst. Its reaction condition is mild, and the reaction carries out between acetone and chlorobrm in alkaline medium. The raw meterial mol ratio is acetone:chloroform:sodium hydrate:catalyst=10:10:7:1. By using this method, a yield of 30.4% could be obtained.
