Load distribution performance of fiber reinforced polymer reinforced pavement crushed stone layer

  • To improve the contact state between layers of crushed stones and enhance their stability and load dispersion effect, this paper uses fiber-reinforced composite material cell reinforced crushed stone layers. Taking the inverted pavement structure as an example, this paper designs the cells based on the elastic layered system theory, and analyzes the load dispersion effect of the crushed stone layers before and after reinforcement through a combination of indoor bearing plate tests and finite difference method (FDM) and discrete element method (DEM) coupling numerical simulation. The results show that the designed cells meet the requirements of stability deformation; compared with the crushed stone layer without reinforcement, the elastic modulus and deformation modulus of the reinforced crushed stone layer have been increased, the plastic deformation has been reduced; the average value of the load transfer coefficient is lower than that of the crushed stone layer without reinforcement, and the strength chain diffusion range with the highest power is increased to twice, the anisotropy degree is lower than that of the crushed stone layer without reinforcement, and the load dispersion effect has been greatly improved.
