Abstract: This paper described eight species of Papilio injurious to citrus in Guangdung Province. They are: （1）Papilio xuthus L.（2）P. polytes L. （3）Princeps demoleus L. （4）Papilio memnon L.（5）P. halenus L. （6）P. protenor Cramer（7）P. bianor Cramer. （8）P. paris L..The first three species are more common and often causes serious injury to the young leaves and buds.
Papilio passes five or six generations per year in Guangdung. Every year from April to September a lot of young leaves and buds are damaged by the Papilio larvae.
The morphology of egg, larval and pupal stages of the eight species is described. A key has also been prepared for the identification of thel arvae, and pupae of these species.
