Abstract:
In order to solve the problem that the two-stage graded yielding effect of the existing graded yielding dampers was not obvious, in the study, a new graded yielding metal damper was proposed, the construction form of the graded yielding damper was elucidated, and its basic mechanical properties and preliminary design methods were proposed, the low cyclic loading test was performed to investigate the graded energy dissipation mechanism and seismic performance of the damper, and the hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, equivalent viscous damping ratio and stiffness degradation curve of the graded yielding type damper were obtained. The results showed that the hysteresis curve of the damper is full and the energy dissipation capacity is superior. The skeleton curve shows an obvious two-stage nature, and the graded energy dissipation effect is obvious.
