Abstract: This paper provides a method to decrease the blank value in determining volatility phenol in water by using chloroform to extract 4-AAP. This method has the virtues of easy operation and little pollution. The result of standard sample has high accuracy and good precision. The limit of detection is 1.14 μg∙L^-1, RSD(n=5) is 8.3%, relative error is 0.83%.
