Abstract:
In order to understand the creep behavior of Q890 high⁃strength structural steel at elevated temperature, in the report, the high⁃temperature creep tests of Q890 steel were performed under the condition of constant temperature and constant load. The parameters included temperature (400 ℃, 500 ℃, 600 ℃, and 700 ℃) and stress ratio (0.45⁃0.95). The creep versus time curves and creep rate versus time curves were obtained, and the data were analyzed. Based on the creep rate versus time curves, three stages of creep development at elevated temperature were determined. Finally, the parameters of the Field & Field creep model were acquired by fitting the test results, and the Field & Field creep model for Q890 steel at elevated temperature is in accordance with the experimental curves.
