Abstract: The updating information of land resources database system was an operational system created by remote sensing,geographical information system（GIS）, and global positioning system（GPS）technologies. The functions of the system can meet the need of dynamically monitoring and timely updating land use change at the county level. This paper discusses the principles and methods for f dynamically monitoring and timely updating land use change by using the technology of remote sensing（RS）, geographical information system（GIS） and global positioning system（GPS）, which are also called "3S"technology, taking Yanggu County of Shandong province as an example.
