Abstract: The author introduced some problems and their solution which were encountered during the construction of the Century Tower, and made a comparison between the experience value and the recommended normal value of the horizontal deformation proportion coefficient "m" of cast-in-place pile. The author also dealt with the penetrated butt weld of non-vertical "T" shape connection, and discussed whether it was reasonable that some specific items were arranged in The Compulsory Provisions of Engineering Construction Standards.
