Abstract:
The effects of the three main resin contained in the recycling plastics on the performance of modified asphalt were compared, and the results indicated that with the increas of dosage, the asphalt viscosity at room temperature, softening point and equivalent crisp points were enhanced by low density polyethylene(LDPE), high density polyethylene(HDPE)and polypropylene(PP), and the ductility were reduced; the effects of LDPE, HDPE on the high temperature performance were superior than that of PP, but HDPE easily lead to separation; modified asphalt with blended resins had no performance mutation, the influence law of them were similar, there were differences of seldom index. Taken together, using unclassified mixed plastic for modifying asphalt was feasible.
