Abstract: In order to explore the effects of performance of building material on early stage concrete cracks, in this paper, the sites that easily cracked and the causes of concrete crevice during the course of construction were analyzed. It was indicated that material is the vital factor of early stage concrete cracks, such as cement, the quality of aggregate, fly-ash, alkali-aggregate reaction, water cement ratio, and slump. According to above causes, the corresponding preventive measures were put forward to keep the development of the construction industry and the quality security of construction.
