珠母贝不同地理群体贝壳形态性状与质量相关及通径分析

Correlation and Path Analysis of Pinctada margaritifer Shell Morphological Traits and the Correlation with Mass from Different Geographical Populations

  • 摘要: 选取了海南海棠湾、海南三亚湾、海南春园湾和广西涠洲岛4个不同地理群体开展其贝壳形态性状与质量的相关性及通径分析,采用了单因素方差分析、相关性分析、逐步回归分析和通径分析,探究了不同地理群体珠母贝形态性状与质量的相关性。结果显示:4个地理群体形态性状特征各有不同,壳宽指数海棠湾群体最大,涠洲岛群体最小;总壳质量指数涠洲岛群体最大,三亚湾群体最小;不同地理群体贝壳形态性状与总壳质量相关性和作用程度有所差异,壳高均与总壳质量有显著相关,壳宽对总壳质量的直接作用最为明显。其中,海棠湾群体各形态性状中壳宽对总壳质量的决定系数最大(0.261),与壳高的共同决定程度为0.015。三亚湾群体各形态性状中壳高对总壳质量的决定系数最大(0.358),与壳宽的共同决定程度为0.146。春园湾群体壳宽和绞合部长共同决定程度为0.161。涠洲岛群体各形态性状中壳宽对总壳质量的决定系数最大(0.375),壳高和壳长的共同决定程度为0.158。研究结果可为育珠母贝后期的选择工作奠定基础。

     

    Abstract: In the report, the Pinctada margaritifer populations from four distinct geographical regions, Haitang Bay (Hainan), Sanya Bay (Hainan), Chunyuan Bay (Hainan), and Weizhou Island (Guangxi), were selected, and the correlation and path analyses on shell morphological traits and total shell weight were conducted. One-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, stepwise regression, and path analysis, were used to investigate the geographic variation in morphometric-weight relationships. The results demonstrated that there are significant interpopulation differences among the four geographical population. The Haitang Bay population exhibited the highest shell width index, whereas the Weizhou Island population showed the minimum shell width index. The total shell weight index of the Weizhou Island population reached maximum values and that of the Sanya Bay population reached minimum. The correlation and path analyses results suggested that there were the geographical specificity in both correlation patterns and pathway effects on total shell weight. There were the significant correlations between the shell height and total weight in all populations, there were the most substantial direct effects of the shell width on the total shell weight. In Haitang Bay population, the determination coefficient of the shell width on the total shell weight was the highest (R2=0.261), with shell height contributing additional 0.015 through joint effects. In Sanya Bay population, the determination coefficient of the shell height on the total shell weight was the highest (R2=0.358), with shell width contributing additional 0.146 through joint effects. In Chunyuan Bay population, there were the prominent joint determination between shell width and hinge length (R2=0.161). In Weizhou Island population, the determination coefficient of the shell width on the total shell weight was the highest (R2=0.375), with shell width contributing additional 0.146 through joint effects. followed by combined effects of shell height and length (R2=0.158). Our findings provide the valuable insights for the selective breeding programs of Pinctada margaritifer, particularly in trait prioritization for shell mass improvement.
