Abstract: 1. Dexing Copper Mine Field is situated in N.latitude 29°41’, E. longitude 117°44’, the northeastern part of Jiangxi province. The area covers more than 100km².
2. The flora in the area is of ancient origin and is rich in species. The vascular plants consist of 136 families, including 19 species of fern and 462 species of seed plants.
3. There are 25 formations and 30 associations, which compose 7 main formation classes:Ⅰ. Laurilignosa, Ⅱ. Mixed evergreen and deciduous broadleaved forest,Ⅲ. Coniferous forest,Ⅳ. Bamboo forest,Ⅴ. Thicket,Ⅵ.Meadow and Ⅶ. Hydrophilous vegetation.The climax community in the area is laurilignosa.
4. There exist close relationships between the local vegetation and the environmental qualities. In order to safeguard the environment against pollution, the vegetation should be protected.
