Abstract: The author reported that the cryo-extraction of cataract was performed using ourselves made copper cryophorus and the satisfactory results were obtained. Total 47 cases 55 eyes were operated from 1984, April to 1985, June.patients Age were from 47 to 80, 17 cases were male and 30 cases were female.There were 52 eyes senile cataracts,2 eyes complicated cataracts and 1 eye traumatic cataract in these patients. The intracapsular operation of 53 eyes was successful （96.4%）, the operation of 2 eyes was failed due to rupture capsule. Sights of patients at discharged time were from 1 metre counting fingers, some cases were orrected to 0.6. Complications of operation were prolopse vitreous body 12 eyes （21.8%）, hyphema 7 eyes （12.7%）, deforming pupils 6 eyes（10.9%）. Crgo-extraction is better than others because of simple method, equipment cheaper Price, easier aoperation, so this method is worth recommending,,
